A Social Blunder(Column)

Election is fast approaching and I am expecting side-to-side propagandas. Election is crucial to some Filipinos yet, it is a deceiving agendum that the said election could be a cause of clashing personal interests. Apparently, many still consider that election is the time to strengthen our hope of achieving the Philippine’s triumph against adversities.

It is embarrassing to say that Philippine’s definition about politics is not present in any of the famous lexicons. Indeed, I consider it as a faux pas that even some of the incumbent politicians do not have the right definition of politics because if they ever knew, there will be no vendettas of agenda to be established as the means of development to our country.

I strongly believe that the crucial state of our country is not present in any of the political agenda of the Philippines. Being optimistic is very essential today but how long will I deceive myself that our country could not nurse the needs of her children. Perhaps, the Supremes were only fed by the country like gluttons and left nothing for their constituents except for left-over of the constituents’ treasures.

Ooopss.. I tossed a sack of rocks, sorry because I let it fall over the heads of the guilty ones and good for those people who dodged it - because they were good in pretending.

Politics is neither an ephemeral issue nor a mediocre topic. It is the fundamental concern that we should discuss about if systems of it are that adequate to suffice the solutions to the problems of our country especially to fulfill its definition.

This is to mull over while reckoning the upcoming election. Think critically if election really has a purpose to conquer or worsen up the adversities. We must think that every decision has a consequence. Therefore, frustration waits ahead of us after the suicidal election.

No matter how we criticize the vicious anomaly of the government, we must take the consequences of the turmoil we made because we built the pillars of the government as a democratic country yet, it is not good that we are the ones destroying our pillars.

The ignition of our country’s feat is on our hands and not on the said election. We should not expect development from the government that gives endemic embarrassment. Instead, let us raise our feet and continue the pace of changing our nation by helping one another as a sign of “bayanihan” virtue. Improvement is among us as the Filipinos and becoming a Filipino marks our forehead that stood the slavery regime and tore it.

Debut of Abbhorence

Debut of Abbhorence
Mark Anthony M. Yamada
(revised)
Where art thou my youth?
Thy Mother Country is finding thee…
Did thy love for knowledge just vanish?
Or just made love for smokes on silver pad of turmoil…

Where art thou youth –
The once that country folks were fighting for…
To heed the arms of Mother Country…
Yet now - the abomination made by discord…

Where art thou youth –
Art thou not thirsty for the breast of Mother Country?
Isn’t it that, the supremes were fed alone?
Even thy future were fed to dominators…

Where art thou young children?
Art they there in that solitaired box?
Flushed from their scorned mother’s womb –
Without pity crucified by their pilates…

Where art thou defenders of youth?…
Is this what we want to our children?
Perhaps we have arms but not cradled for them?
…or playing blind and deaf of the moans
